A multidisciplinary PhD program on Security, Risk and Vulnerability


When the technological, regulatory, organizational and social aspects cannot be easily disentangled, security can only be attained by leveraging multiple disciplines. The PhD Program in Security, Risk and Vulnerability will train a new generation of researchers capable to tackle the security challenges of the future.

PhD students will acquire broad foundations on both practical and theoretical aspects of security and risk management, learn how to conduct high quality research, and solve important research questions.

A PhD in Security, Risk and Vulnerability opens a variety of career opportunities in academia, research institutes, and R&D departments of (inter)national companies. Further career opportunities, include the establishment of spin-off companies and consultancy.

Training

Training activities include classes and participation in (inter)national schools on advanced topics, seminars, and conferences.

Infrastructures

Phd students have access to all facilities including office and common rooms in the premises of the departments involved in the PhD program, computer and research labs, libraries, and canteens.

International Dimension

The PhD Board includes renowned researchers from prominent research institutions. The PhD Program encourages visits of students to foreign institutions during their PhD.
